About CTC in Hand

Every salary conversation in India happens in the wrong currency. Offers are quoted in CTC, raises in CTC percentages, and the number that lands in your bank account each month is something you find out after joining. This site converts between the two, honestly.

Who builds it

One person, who got tired of rebuilding the same spreadsheet before every offer call. There is no company behind it, no investors, and nothing to sell you. Questions and corrections go to hello@ctcinhand.in.

What makes it different

  • The assumptions are inputs, not secrets. Basic as a share of CTC, employer PF inside CTC, the ₹1,800 PF cap, gratuity, and your state's professional tax are visible and adjustable, because those are exactly the levers that make the same CTC pay differently.
  • Every rule is published. The methodology page is the tax engine written out, with the FY 2026-27 slab tables, a worked example, the sources and a changelog.
  • Nothing you type leaves your browser. The calculator runs on your device. See the privacy page for the short list of what the site does store.
  • No ads on the calculator. If the site ever earns money, it will be from things clearly labelled as such, never from cluttering the number you came for.

What it is not

It is not tax advice and not a substitute for your payslip. Figures are FY 2026-27 estimates on the assumptions you set. Before filing, or when the difference matters, check with a chartered accountant. The terms say this at greater length.

Use it on your own site

Bloggers, HR teams and placement cells can embed the calculator with one line of code, free, in exchange for a credit link.
